Prepare questions to ask. Have some questions of your own to ask the interviewer, either about the company or the position you are being interviewed for. Having carried out interviews many times myself, I can tell you that a candidate who has no questions is not viewed favourably. Dress appropriately. Always be clean and tidy and dressed in keeping with the type of job you are being interviewed for. Obviously an office worker would be expected to dress differently from someone in the fashion industry.

Be pleasant and polite to everyone. This includes the receptionist and anyone else you might meet on the premises. Receptionists are often asked for their opinion on candidates.

Remember to smile, look the interviewer in the eye and listen to what they are saying! Also don"t ramble in your answers. Be concise and to the point.
