SHV energy India selected SAP ERP Central Component 5.0 module as it is user-friendly and has good functional capabilities. Before setting up SAP ECC module, the company was facing a lot of problem. They tried different software packages, but all those software did not provide the data on time. So the company decided to automate processes with SAP ECC. In the beginning, it was difficult for the users to adapt this system. But they later realized that this system would reduce the difficulty of processes and reduce the cost of operating multiple systems. Various core modules of SAP ECC like financial accounting, controlling, sales & distribution, materials management, production planning, project systems, plant maintenance, customer service and payroll are very helpful to the company. Like project systems module helped the company to implement projects at the customerò€™s location quickly and efficiency. Plant maintenance and customer service module helps the company to respond to customers call in a better way and provide them better service. Payroll and other aspects in the HR module have helped in HR department. Now the companyò€™s in-house process innovation team is developing improvised modules every month or two. Now the company is looking at implementing other modules in material management as to how the contracts can be activated, build warranties around products.
