*Try not to list the past 20 jobs youò€™ve had that donò€™t pertain to the position youò€™re applying for.Ò Keep it short and applicable to what the company is hiring for, usually no more than your past 3 jobs.
*Donò€™t just give job descriptions of your past work history.Ò Most employers know through the job titles what youò€™ve probably been responsible for.Ò This is your chance to highlight your accomplishments within that job description.
*The biggest mistake that people can make when creating a resume is not knowing what theyò€™re applying for or who is offering the job.Ò Almost everyone has a website these days and if youò€™re not utilizing the information readily available to you than youò€™re missing out on an opportunity.Ò Using the companies language in your resume can only booster your chances of success.
*Donò€™t lie.Ò If youò€™re not qualified for a legal discovery position theyò€™re going to find out sooner or later and itò€™s much more embarrassing later.Ò Be honest about your skill set, your education and any other information youò€™re putting on your resume.Ò If they find out youò€™ve lied before youò€™re hired it can, at the very least, be extremely embarrassing.Ò If they find out youò€™ve lied after youò€™ve been hired, it is grounds for termination and can ruin your reputation.
